Babywearing Ireland’s Wear A Hug Fair 2019 is Ireland’s Biggest
Babywearing Ireland’s (BWI) annual “Wear a Hug” Fair, Ireland’s largest gathering of babywearers will take place on Sunday, 20th October 2019 at the CityNorth Hotel & Conference Centre from 10:30am-5pm. Now in its 8th year, the Wear a Hug Fair continues to grow in popularity attracting over 1000 attendees.
As an eagerly anticipated date in the Irish babywearing calendar, the Wear a Hug Fair attracts people from every corner of Ireland. It brings together volunteers, experienced babywearers, and those curious about the benefits of babywearing. Attendees will enjoy over 40 stands ranging from slings, babywearing accessories, handmade and sustainable clothing, eco-friendly homeware and home care products, to educational toys and games.
Babywearing Ireland is a completely voluntary run organisation. Our volunteers are all passionate about promoting safe babywearing and its benefits for both children and caregivers. Through an Ireland-wide network of 35+ local sling libraries, Babywearing Ireland librarians run sling meets which allow parents and caregivers to learn about babywearing and try different types of slings. At the Wear A Hug Fair, the BWI National Sling Library will be onsite, offering the opportunity to see and try a wide variety of slings and carriers. There will be sling demonstrations, troubleshooting workshops, talks and entertainment for the kids.
The Wear a Hug Fair 2019 promises to be another fun filled day, for all of the family.
There will be lots of pregnancy, baby, and child themed businesses with stands at the fair, along with informative talks, a fashion show, storytelling, face painting, Babywearing Ireland sling demonstrations, Babywearing Consultants and much much more.
